Cindy Lou Hartig
Cindy Lou Hartig was born in Neptune, New Jersey, in March of 1955, and has been residing in Kissimmee, Florida, for more than 14 years.
Cindy has 3 children, all of whom have attended Osceola County Schools. Her oldest daughter, Jan, is 29 years old and graduated from Osceola County Schools and the University of Florida. She is an engineer presently with Bell South/ATT and lives in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her middle daughter, Lynn, is 25 years old and graduated from Osceola County Schools and the University of Florida. She also resides in Jacksonville, Florida, and is the manager of Cindy's company in that area.
Her youngest, Summer Lynn is 12 years old and is in the seventh grade at Horizon Middle School and is a straight A student.
Cindy is the President and CEO of Information Technology & Data Solutions, Inc. ("ITDS"), which she founded in January of 2000. It is a technology, communications, and electrical specialty company. She is the license holder and is a state certified Electrical Specialty Contractor. Her company was the successful bidder and performed the low voltage wiring and computer data cabling services for Bellalago School with Terry's Electric, Deerwood, Venture and Lakeview schools as well as the Mill Creek CATV retrofit, for the Osceola County School District. ITDS is presently one of the several approved companies for maintenance of these systems throughout the School District.
Prior to her forming her own company, Cindy worked as a information technology specialist for Walt Disney World for a period of approximately 7 years and for United Parcel Service for approximately 7 years prior to that.
She is active in the Chamber of Commerce of Kissimmee/Osceola County and on the Board of Directors since 2005. She has been active on several committees and activities to promote business activities and opportunities in Osceola County.
Cindy has always been a very active parent and business partner in the Osceola School District.
She has served on the School Advisory Committee (SAC) since 1994, in which she has actively participated with other parents, faculty and school administration in there cooperative effort for better education in those schools.
She has been OASIS business partner since 2003 and has been on the OASIS business committee since 2006. Her participation in this activity is to give back to the schools and community. To encourage other business both local and in the surrounding areas to join the effort with education and our children.
She has been active in the Junior Achievement Program and a teacher in that program since 2001 at all school levels sharing her business experience and mentoring the students in the affairs of business and economics.
She has served on the Superintendent Customer Service Team beginning in 2007 in which she helped develop the current School District Customer Service plan with a team of parents, teaches and other business partners.
She was Principal for a Day at Pleasant Hill Elementary School during the 2006-2007 school year.
She has been appointed to and is actively serving as a member of the internal audit team for the school district which is a "watchdog" group acting directly under and reporting directly to the School Board with regard to audit and financial issues and questions arising in the operation of the School District financial affairs.
Her most recent appointment is to the Osceola County Coalition for Early Learning Board.
She is a mentor thru the Education Foundation of Osceola County, known as Take Stock in Children and actively mentors at Osceola High School
